accommodations she will have a V-berth, head with shower, and galley will be up in the salon. She will be powered with an 1,150-hp Caterpillar diesel. She expected to go overboard late summer. Another Young Brothers 45 is being


fi nished off as a yacht for a customer from St. Petersburg, FL. She will have a full custom interior and be powered with a 1,150-hp C-18 Caterpillar.


In another shop they have a Calvin Beal 34 lobster yacht going to the North Shore of Massachusetts. She will be powered with a 450-hp FTP. Also being fi nished off for a fi sherman from Cranberry Isle is a Mussel Ridge 42. She will be a lobster boat, powered with a 750-hp John Deere diesel. She will be done this spring.


The Calvin Beal 42 mould has been completed by Front Street Shipyard at their Bucksport location. They have already sold six of these, including one to her designer, Calvin Beal, Jr. For those interested they have open slots this summer. S. W. Boatworks has a the Calvin Beal,


Young Brothers and Libby, with the excep- tion of the 41, moulds. He now has also


purchased the MDI 45 mould and this will be available this summer.


Like many of the boatbuilders along the


Maine coast, H & H Marine in Steuben has a number of boats either under construction or ordered.


Early in January they shipped 42 footer with a 16 foot beam over to The Hinckley Company in Manset where she would be loaded on a trailer for her ride to the West Coast. She was fi nished off as a crab boat and is powered with a 610-hp QSM-11. Just launched was 46’ 4” x 17’ 6” was


fi nished off as a shrimp trap boat for a fi sh- erman from Ventura, California. Her major alteration was they added four inches to her sheer. They also added a 600 gallon fi sh hold. As for power she has a QSL 9 liter 405-hp Cummins. During sea trials she topped out at 16.9 knots and cruised at 14 knots. Next are two 46s, laid up from the 42 mould. One of these is being fi nished off as a lobster boat for a fi sherman from Vinalhav- en. She is all composite, has a live well, and is powered with a 750-hp John Deere diesel engine.
