2008 ‘POST & GO’ has proven a very popular modern innovation for collectors with considerable interest shown and some unusual genuine errors and varieties since the service 1st became available in 2008. Possibly this is the best collection extant. We have seen invoices totalling between GBP£2,400 and GBP£2,500 so the collection is realistically estimated at £2,000 and reserved at £1,600 the first time offered at auction. Probably this is the first serious POST & GO collection to come to auction? Approximately 90% of the collection comprises British issues but some Channel Islands are also included which were virtually unknown/ not offered to collectors so that one issue in particular Jersey (Churchill) only 6 sets are believed to have been sold. For the keen ‘ Churchill ‘ collector this may be a hard set to locate (!), ‘Birds’ are another popular ‘Post & Go’ subject. Including FDC, packs, stamps, varieties, errors etc - naturally the actual decimal FACE VALUE must be significant. Housed in several albums plus supporting information.
