Football fans will be disappointed to know that in Spain they take a well earned Christmas break, with only friendly and charity games taking place, so no football is to be had until the New Year. More information from the Torry Army website:
www.fctorrevieja.net or club’s official site:
www.clubdeportivotorrevieja.com. General admission is 10€, for those 16 to 21 it’s 5€ and those 15 and under can watch the games for free.
However, those 50 and over who fancy kicking a ball around again, ladies included, can now take part in walking football, which takes place in Torrevieja on a Friday morning at 10.30am in the sports city, or Los Montesinos at 10am on Tuesdays after the festive break, when we probably all have New Year’s resolution to lose a few kilos and get fitter during 2016.
