Town Talk Demolition at

Red Lion pub THE two original walls of the for- mer Red Lion public house at 96 High Street, Snodland have had to be demolished because they were dangerous. Planning permission had been granted by Tonbridge & Malling Council for partial demolition of the building, one of Snodland's oldest, and the building of eight flats - two two-bedroom and six with one bedroom. A borough council spokesper-

son said the applicant had sub- mitted a new application for the full demolition of the building and its rebuilding to have the same appearance. At the time of Town Talk going

to press planning permission had not been granted for the re- building scheme but planning permission was not required to demolish the walls as they were unsound.
