This interactive “Think Tank” session will be organized around three quandaries which will encourage innovative, integrative, systematic and strategic solutions seeking. The presenters will provide a set of case study scenarios, along with hypothetical curriculum goals and climate change mitigation goals. Curriculum goals will include (*) place-based learning, (*) outdoor education, (*) STEM education, (*) STEaMd education, and (*) flipped classroom. Climate change mitiga- tion goals will include enhanced sustainability and resilience focusing on (*) campus microclimate, (*) resource conservation, and (*) natural capital regeneration. Using the assembled brain power of attendees, we will challenge ourselves toward “out-of-the-box” thinking for campus greening.
Educators and facilities professionals, alike, will be informed and inspired by this Think Tank experience, and will take away actionable ideas.
