LEDs: What You Should Know We’ve all heard the terms before: efficacy, lumens, color tem- perature, CRI, LM-79, LM-80, L70 and more, but what do they all mean? Why does it matter? How do they all relate...or not? What might make one LED product better than another for my application? This session is intended to clarify and/or educate what many consider to be a confusing new technology seem- ingly surrounded in hearsay, overly broad marketing tactics and under-educated field sales teams. Whether you are in the market for indoor or outdoor, highbay or nightlights, if it’s LED you’re

after, this session is for you. Presenter:

Education, NGSS, LCAPS, CC, and More State Superintendent Torlakson convened the California Envi- ronmental Literacy Task Force, which delivered its Blueprint for Environmental Literacy in September 2015. Come to this panel discussion with members of the Task Force and learn about how schools can ensure their graduates are environmentally literate and inspired and prepared for 21st century green jobs. You will learn about the Blueprint recommendations, resources available in California, and how your school can take action to integrate Environmental Literacy into Common Core, Next Generation Science Standards, LCAPs, teaching academics using the school buildings and grounds as hands-on sustainability learning tools, and more. In the 21st century, Environmental Literacy is a “need to have” and not just “nice to have” and can be achieved within time and budget constraints.
