What role can schools play in helping the State of California put 1.5 million zero emission vehicles on the roads by 2025? Schools are often community leaders in sustainable practices, and by pro- viding access to charging for employees and students, schools can extend sustainability to the commute. During this session, members and staff of the California Plug-In Electric Vehicle Collaborative will provide their expertise about electric trans- portation and charging infrastructure, covering the state of the market today, ideas for incorporating charging on your campus, and available incentives. Moderator:
Lisa Chiladakis, Manager, Technology and Programs, PEV Collaborative Panelists: Eileen Tutt, Executive Director, California Electric Transportation Commission Jamie Hall, Manager, Advanced Vehicle and Infrastructure Policy, General Motors Colin Santuli, Senior Manager of Transportation Programs, Center for Sustainable Energy

COLLABORATIVE FOR HIGH PERFORMANCE SCHOOLS SESSIONS
October 29 Ballroom F
11:15 am-12:15 pm PreFAB: From prototype to production to two-story
High performance, prefabricated school construction has evolved and made major strides over the past decade. Prefabricated
classrooms and school buildings have emerged as a viable alternative construction delivery method. Numerous production models are readily available over a continuum of prefabrication methods and various construction materials. Several multi-story, specialty space, and high performance options have been intro- duced. This facilitated listening session will kick off the update of the CHPS Best Practices Manual for prefabricated, modular and relocatable classrooms for manufacturers, school districts, and all prefabricated classroom stakeholders.

Time to Take Another Look at CA-CHPS Have you done a CHPS project before? Or attended a conference session about CHPS three years ago and think you know all about CHPS? Well think again. The 2014 CA-CHPS Criteria is the most significant change since the California CHPS Criteria was first introduced in 2002. Hear from the experts about how CA-CHPS harmonizes with key state policy objectives and results in healthy, high performance learning environments. Attendees will become familiar with the fundamentals of Crime Prevention through Environmental Design to make your schools safer and explore the connections between the big four environmental attributes of Indoor Environmental Quality and Education. This is also a chanc to get your burning questions answered about the Energy Commission’s new open source energy model that quan- tifies performance under the 2013 Title 24 Energy Standards, dis- cover the path toward ZNE for new schools and modernizations and learn how to take advantage of CHPS doubling of Water Credits during the drought.
