Valmet’s fi fth Advantage NTT tissue line will be installed at Resolute’s new mill in the US

ore details of the ti ssue machine being supplied to Resolute Forest
Products for its new mill at Calhoun in Tennessee (PPL July- Aug 2015) have been revealed by Valmet. The Advantage NTT 200HS ti ssue machine and automati on system will produce at-home, premium private label ti ssue paper, including bath and towel with start-up of the ti ssue producti on line is planned for early 2017. The value of the
order is not disclosed. “We are very proud to work with
Resolute on this important project, and we will deliver fi rst-class ti ssue technology to their state-of-the-art facility,” says Soren Eriksson, sales director at Valmet’s Tissue Mills Business Unit. The order comprises a complete
ti ssue producti on line – with a width of 5.2m and design speed of 2,000 m/m – along with a layered Opti Flo headbox and a cast alloy Yankee cylinder. It will also include Advantage ti ssue technology, such
Circular logyard crane from Andritz for Domtar
Domtar Paper Company has ordered a logyard circular crane from Andritz for its Marlboro mill in South Carolina. The new crane will replace existing equipment and has a net lift capacity of 32 tons and a radial reach of 52 metres (170 ft). The start- up is scheduled for early 2016. The CRC20 Circular Crane will be able to unload log

trucks in a single bite, feed the logline at the required rate, and also assist in managing log storage on site. It adheres to high safety standards, is easy to maintain, is very efficient, and utilizes data acquisition systems to support logyard operations. The order includes the equipment, engineering, and on-site services.

to be delivered. The fi rst was started up in Mexico in 2013, the second line started up in the second quarter of 2015 in Chile, a third NTT line will be started up in Abu Dhabi in 2015, followed by a fourth NTT line in the US in early 2016.
