The
summer
time
is
almost coming to an end and life returning to normal, although the soaring temperatures we are still having doesn’t feel much like the end of summer. I, for one, am dreading our next electricity
bill coming
through. We’ve had 2 fans in every bedroom plus the air conditioning in the lounge. But even though I may well pass out when hit with the cost, without these being used, I think I would have passed out on a daily basis with the heat.
I have already noticed a little less traffic on the roads, more available car parking spaces and in only a few weeks time the children will be returning to school.
Speaking of cars and traffic, I was a very proud mum when my oldest passed his driving test a month or so ago. He is now out and about wanting to drive everywhere so I am taking advantage of his keen attitude and allowing him to be my taxi driver for a change.
I’ve got the chore of trying to find a suitable dress for a close friend’s wedding which will take place at the beginning of September! My major problem is that most of the shops now have their Autumn / Winter ranges now in stock, yet I predict September will still be very hot. As usual I leave these things until the last minute and therefore, so far I have not been able to find anything suitable. But I am sure that my efforts will prevail, and after intensive shopping I will find the right outfit....oh the joys of being a woman!!!!
