Quesada Bowls Club report Sponsored by
The intense heat of July has been a difficult time for our bowlers, but thankfully now into August, we have managed to survive.
Our Tuesday evening Premier 20 came to a conclusion in the middle of July, where on one occasion the fixture had to be postponed due to extreme heat, even with an evening start. This year the players, who turned out every Tuesday evening, did a good job, finishing fourth.
Thursday evenings sees our Greenlands Friendly League progressing well, and is looking to come to a successful conclusion.
The SABA knockout championships, which have been on throughout the summer, has seen many of our club members moving on towards the final stages.
We are pleased to be holding the finals of the SABA Knockout championships and hope that we can repeat our successes of last year. The date for the finals is 11th to 14th September. All visitors are welcome. Come along and see the games, which will be taking place throughout each day, it might inspire you to become a bowler!
Our Competition Secretary Suzi Cooper is busy organising a series of social bowling events, the first one saw all the greens full, with the evening finishing with a delightful meal in The Club. For informatin on our next social game please contact Joe, details below.
On 31st July Suzi and Nikki from The Club organised a charity bowling event which included a fantastic BBQ. It is pleasing to report that due to our members and visitors generosity, a fantastic donation was able to be made to help the needy children of San Fulgencio.
Our Saturday morning ‘Chicken Drive’ is open to visitors. Players wishing to take part should report at 9.15am for a 9.30am start.
