22 August Music Against Cancer Presents Mosh Against Cancer IV Waterfront Studio
For the 4th year in a row, Music Against Cancer presents Mosh Against Cancer, a night of local bands performing covers of questionable songs and guilty pleasures. Catch Box Of Light, Under Te Influence, Laid Out, Claws, Welldweller and War Bastard playing everything from metal to pop. As well as live music there’ll be a whole host of stalls in the back room selling everything from cakes to Music Against Cancer merchandise alongside information stands raising cancer awareness. 30 August Run Norwich - 10K race Norwich city centre
Run Norwich is a new 10-kilometre road race, launched by the Norwich City Community Sports Foundation. It takes place on a Sunday morning, starting at 09:30, and up to 4,500 runners will be taking to the streets, passing some of Norwich’s most famous landmarks like Te Forum, the football ground and Dragon Hall on the way. Music and entertainment will be laid on to keep spectators entertained and to encourage the runners at the start and all along the route. Tere’s still time to enter, so get thee over to the website post haste. Tis is the first of hopefully many years to come of a new race for the many enthusiastic runners of Norwich, so let’s get out there and support those pavement pounders, people.

August Teatre Royal Norwich city centre
Cool down on August 2nd at the Teatre Royal with Sing-A-Long-A-Frozen; bring any kids you might know, get ‘em dressed up and fail to not sing along…LET IT GOOOO, LET IT GOOOO. Etc. Tere are only a handful of tickets left as we go to print for Annie, which comes to Norwich on August 17th. Craig Revel-Horwood, from out of Strictly Come Dancing, plays the evil Miss Hannigan. Cannot wait for that one. Te people wanted more Dirty Dancing and so it’s coming back for a two-week run from August 25th. Te record-breaking show is full of classic songs, stunning dance set-pieces and that lift. You‘ll have the time of your life! Lolz. Don’t forget the theatre also hosts its annual Open Day on August 15th where you can browse backstage, walk onto the stage, and find out more about how the magic is made. Doors open at 10am.
