Embankments restaurant is the only permanently moored floating restaurant in the whole of Kent. Situated on the river Medway, behind the Archbishops Palace, the restaurant offers a newly created ‘alfresco sun deck’ where you can relax in the sun while watching the boats and river wildlife pass you by!
This unique restaurant boasts 60 covers where guests can enjoy great food and wine presented through a range of specially created menus designed to complement each other.

Aunt Sally's Kitchen in Allington offers you a warm welcome. Whether you are looking for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea Aunt Sally's has something for everyone. Where possible, all food is sourced locally and the majority of it is homemade. Even the baristas have been trained by Roasted of Brighton. Nowadays, The Lees, on the banks of the River Medway, is much favoured for a relaxing afternoon. Here, you can visit Teapot Island, Yalding with its huge collection of novelty teapots. While still growing, the total currently stands at 6,700.
Teapot Island started life in the 1950s as a tin shack which sold bait to fishermen and served up tea. Now the family-run business includes a café with a tranquil garden and a wide variety of food on the menu. It also offers the chance to paint your own pottery from teddies to teapots.
