BEARSTED Green is set to be invaded by Mad Hatters, White Rabbits and Queens of Hearts when the annual Bearsted and Thurnham Carnival and Fayre celebrates the 150th anniversary of Lewis Carroll’s much loved children’s book ‘Alice’s adventures in Wonderland’.
The fayre takes place on the village green from 1pm on Saturday June 27 and promises the traditional mix of stalls and rides, refreshments, music, fancy dress, crowning of the Carnival Princess
and the renowned carnival procession.
