Several contractors at the meetings competed against each other to see who could complete the task in the shortest time, with many competitors fi nish- ing in less than 5 minutes. A hands-on session concluded the meetings with contractors being given the opportunity to examine the products up close and discuss them with Rheem and Gemaire repre- sentatives. The two day Orlando meet- ing also featured a trade show with 30 vendors displaying products, as well as breakout sessions with representatives from Mitsubishi, Nordyne, Rheem and Gemaire to pro- vide greater details on their products and programs. The 360°+1 initiative resulted in a consumer and contractor- driven redesign of the Rheem equipment platform, introduc- ing more than 30 new features

with Florida’s (and the United States) constitution and other laws. By comparison, ICC is a private model code entity that is not required to do anything for anyone for any reason. I do not say that is a bad thing for a model code entity, but I do say that is an awful thing for an entity that is trying to take control of Florida’s building codes with no obligation at all to preserve anyone’s constitutional or other rights. We would be complete fools to hand over our rights to a private organization that has no obligation to answer to any higher authority.
