Sanuvox Releases the First Wireless UV System for Sterilizing Evaporator Coils Resulting in Better Air Quality and Equipment Efficiency
if the UV system is functioning properly or even at all.” Mr. Engel goes on to say “With the Saber PRO Wireless’ remote LCD display, homeowners can check in real-time from the comfort of their living room or bedroom to see if the UV light is functioning properly and even know when they are due for a UV Lamp replacement. This guarantees that they will benefi t from their investment for years to come.”
Sanuvox Technologies Inc. is proud to announce the avail- ability of the very fi rst wireless Ultraviolet system used for coil cleaning. It is the only system of its kind that makes visual inspection of the operation of the UV system an easy one, by using a remote LCD display that communicates wirelessly with the UV light mounted in- side the HVAC equipment. In most climates, as a result of environmental conditions the evaporator coil becomes a breeding ground for bio- contaminants including mold and bio-film that not only negatively infl uences Indoor Air Quality, but also robs sys- tem performance by insulating the fi ns of the evaporator coil. The Sanuvox PRO Wireless UV System uses a powerful 16” UVC Lamp to bask the coil with germicidal UV light that destroys and prevents microbial growth on the coil and surrounding areas. The system uses a wireless LCD display that can be mounted on any wall in the home allowing the end-user and installer to monitor system performance in real-time.
The UV Lamp itself is pow- ered by a low voltage 24VAC ballast wired into the equip- ment (120V step-down trans- former available separately). The system communicates via a wireless signal (RFID) to the LCD display that can be placed virtually anywhere in the home. The LCD display can be mounted to a wall or rest on a desk. The LCD display provides important user infor- mation such as sterilization in progress through the use of custom on-screen animation, Lamp out and Ballast out icons, a real-time Lamp life monitor will prompt the customer to replace the UV Lamp when the Lamp has reached the end of its operating life. According to Aaron Engel,
Vice-President Marketing, Sanuvox Technologies Inc., “UV systems installed on evaporator coils work, they work very well. The problem is many AC systems are located in hard-to-access areas in the home such as small, dark me- chanical rooms, crawl-spaces and almost impossible to reach attic installations. It is often diffi - cult for a homeowner to validate

RGF Environmental, based in Riviera Beach, FL, has installed a billboard on its 45 foot container that not only advertises the company but also purifi es the air. By coating a section of the substrate with their proprietary, patent-pending advanced oxida- tion catalyst, the combination of UV light from the sun and the moisture in the air produces an advanced oxidation plasma which oxidizes pollutants present in the air.
