NexRev Inc. Announces DrivePak Advanced Rooftop Control New Version Combines Fan Control, Ventilation and Integrated Economizer Control
NexRev Inc., a leading manufacturer of per- formance-improving energy efficiency upgrades for HVAC equipment, re- cently announced the availabil- ity of DrivePak™ Advanced Rooftop Control (ARC), an expanded model of the company’s DrivePak HVAC retrofi t upgrade incorporat- ing advanced controls that allow customers to further capitalize the savings from DrivePak as well as addi- tional prescriptive energy rebates and incentives. By incorporating inte- grated economizer control and CO2 Demand Control Ventilation (DCV) with their
widely popular DrivePak™ load-matching fan speed control, DrivePak ARC further optimizes energy savings and indoor air quality. Built-in Fault Detec- tion further addresses a common problem related to failed or non-functioning economizer equip- ment, providing notifi cation of abnormal behavior
or malfunctioning equipment. Older units become more effi cient and can be updated to meet standards set for new rooftop unit equipment.
“Energy rebates and incentives vary from state to state, and by engineering and manufacturing products that meet and exceed the most stringent effi ciency standards, NexRev can best serve our nationwide retail, commercial, industrial and municipal customer base,” Kenneth Smith, NexRev CEO, said. “NexRev is continually innovating new products and solutions that enable our customers to achieve exceptional energy effi ciency levels; the advanced controls that make up DrivePak ARC facilitate greater energy savings while improving rebate and incentive
options.” DrivePak ARC is the newest addition to NexRev’s DrivePak family of upgrades for existing equipment using Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) technology. It joins the DrivePak APPLIED product release earlier this year which expands the product application to include chilled/hot water HVAC systems.

For buildings requiring simultaneous heating and cooling, Panasonic’s Vertical Air Handler system pro- vides the perfect solution. Filter racks are integrated into the Vertical Air Handler, keeping the blower clean and contributing to indoor air quality. Filters protect heating and cooling units from any damage and contribute to product longevity. In addition to protecting the product, fi lters also keep pollutants and allergens from entering the home through air recirculating inside. For those who have concerns with asthma or high sensitivity to allergens, high effi ciency fi lters are available and compatible with Panasonic’s Vertical Air Handler.
Many users wish to remotely control the heating and cooling of their homes. Panasonic’s Vertical Air Handler can be integrated wirelessly with web con- nection on any Apple or Android device. This allows homeowners to control the heating and cooling inside their homes from work or while traveling away from the home. The MVA Vertical Air Handler is an ideal build- ing solution for contractors and engineers, due in part to its modular design and ease of installation. It’s space-saving, environmentally friendly designs also help ensure continued energy savings, making it easier for architects to spec into their plans. The air handler was sized to fi t well into homes built in the US Market. It offers installation fl exibility with the option of positioning the air handler vertically or horizontally. Panasonic’s MVA Vertical Air Handler runs at a quiet operation mode, utilizing a high-effi cient ECM motor with variable speed control.
