When she began her career, Ruth Ann Clayton says dietitians had two career paths — working in a dietary kitchen as an administrator or purchasing agent, or as a clinical dietitian writing diets for patients. The times, however, have changed. As the importance of nutrition has become more widely understood, the general public has taken a greater interest in the subject, and with that, the Mountain Home registered dietitian has become one of the nation’s recognized experts in the field.
