people attracted to winter streamer fishing are guys in their 20s, 30s and 40s, who want something a little edgy. “I call them the ex-X Games genera-
tion,” Dally says. “They grew up surfing, snowboarding, skateboarding. They like something a little out there, a hard challenge.”
‘Not your traditional fly fishing’ Calling it a challenge is for many an
understatement. Dally and his clients hit the water early in the morning and fish until dusk, casting nonstop, all in the hopes of landing that once-in-a- lifetime fish. Clients can fish days, even years, and not score that trophy catch —a lunker that can reach up to 30 inch- es in length, or more.
