HEALTHY EATING - DRINKS & SNACKS

Drinks can be brought by children to drink at mid-morning break. This should be water or fruit juice. Please do not send glass bottles or cans. They may bring a piece of fruit to eat. Children in KS1 and Foundation stage are given an item of fruit free each day as part of a scheme to encourage healthy eating. The Nursery and Reception children are also provided with free milk to drink each day. We encourage children to bring water to drink, and this is

allowed in the classroom.

HEALTHY EATING - SCHOOL MEALS There is a choice of school dinners provided by us or children can bring a packed lunch. The menus are designed to provide a healthy choice of food, and cater for vegetarian diets as well as religious diets. You need to ensure that the school knows if your child has any dietary needs. There is a 4 weekly cycle of menus. This changes twice during the year and leaflets are available from the school office. School staff ensure that children are aware of the choices for the day and encourage them to choose healthily.
