SEE WHAT THE EXPERTS SAY... We caught up with “everything under the hood” expert Bob Pudlewski
at the recent NSTA mid-winter meeting in La Jolla, Calif., and asked him about a few of the hotter topics buzzing around the industry. See what he had to say on oil analysis as a necessary part of any shop’s preventative maintenance program and the need for tire pressure monitoring in school buses. Watch the video online at

New Nitrogen Dioxide
Standards Released In an effort to help clean the air, the Environmental
Protection Agency has released details on new regula-
tions targeting nitrogen dioxide, a leading cause of smog. Te new rule, the first concerning NO2 in more than 35
years, follows 2004 Tier-2 emissions standards for light-duty vehicles and 2007 and 2010 standards for reducing nitrogen oxides (NOx) in medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines. To read more online, visit

A Part-Time Position in
L.A.U.G.H.T.E.R. In 2007, Shelby County Schools school bus driver Doug Collins started laughing in
a very unique and contagious way. Since then, he has become a YouTube celebrity, an iPhone app entrepreneur and, recently, the subject of a documentary. It all started when Collins was called onto the stage at a local comedy club in his home state of Tennessee. Unable to control himself, he began laughing. Tat laughter immediately caught the attention of the comedian on stage, who quickly set up a mike to amplify his unique chuckle. Collins’ son has since created a Web site and an iPhone application called “Te Laughman.” Collins was also featured in Laughology, a documentary on the benefits of laughter. See how it all began at
