Doug Hamlin, president of Versatrans,
announced in an e-mail to friends and business partners in January that he will be leaving the company at the end of the year. He said his departure is part of a suc- cession plan “long in the making.” He has been at Versatrans for 28 years. “I contin- ue to love and respect Versatrans and am very pleased with the transition to Tyler,” Hamlin said in a later company statement. “In 2011, the time will be right for me to pursue the next chapter of my profes- sional career.” Jim Guzewich, Versatrans current CFO and COO, will replace Ham- lin as president in February 2011. Hamlin said he and Guzewich will be visiting with individual school district clients and busi- ness associates over the next 12 months
and will be making the rounds at industry conferences.
Bus Air Manufacturing, LLC announced
the hiring of Kenny Ruble, former service manager of Allied Bus Sales in Nixa, Mo., as its Tulsa, Okla., location’s general manager. Ruble was recently honored by Navistar International Corporation with the Presi- dent’s Award for exceptional customer service work. Te award honors organiza- tions and individuals that show growth in service, warranty sales and technical train- ing hours.
Collins Bus Corporation announced
that Matt Scheuler has been promoted to regional sales manager. In his role, he
will work primarily with distributors in the western regions of the United States and Canada and will also continue to work with all distributors on parts issues. Scheuler is a Kansas native and a graduate of Wichita State University. He has been employed by Collins Industries for nine years.
