Leading the way for Macmillan The Chancellors Group of Estate Agents
has announced its commitment to Macmillan Cancer Support as a 100 Club Member. Along with 99 other Oxfordshire based businesses,
Chancellors committed to raise £1000 for Macmillan as a contribution towards a target of £100,000 to be raised by 100 local businesses in celebration of Macmillan’s Centenary year.
Towards achieving the target, over 40 members of staff across the
Chancellors Group including Anscombe & Ringland took part in the Macmillan 10k Fun Run in Regent’s Park on 19th June, raising over £4800 for Macmillan, and they will continue to fundraise over the course of 2011. Marie O’Callaghan of The
Chancellors Group comments, “I am really impressed with the level of interest that our staff have shown in support for Macmillan. Everyone is very excited about supporting the charity and motivation levels are high.”
Hunters score £8000 over par for charity
A charity golf event at Easingwold Golf Club was a corporate and a family affair, hosted by Kevin Hollinrake, co-founder of the estate agency Hunters and his brother Keith Hollinrake who represented Easingwold Golf Club. Keeping it in the family even more was their mother, Muriel Hollinrake, who organised the raffl e which raised £1,100. Muriel said, “I was blown away by
the generous donations of raffl e prizes from local businesses; in tough times its heart warming to think people can be so generous.” The proceeds will be split between
