Research carried out by the Dogs Trust has found that almost a third of dog owners would consider signing a pre-nuptial agreement in relation to who would care for the dog on the breakdown of the relationship. This has been referred to as a ‘pre-pup’ in the US and is becoming increasingly popular in the UK.
Pre-Nuptial Agreements are being given an increasing amount of legal weight in the UK courts and could save a lot of expense, heartache and stress when deciding who keeps the family pet.
