WELCOME to the October issue of West Coast Review.

October to many people on the west coast of Argyll means stunning autumn colours and generally wet weather. But to many others in this corner of the world, it means it’s time for the Royal National Mod. To mark the occasion when droves of competitors head for Inverness, we look back at some of our competitors from 2001 in our Life Through the Lens feature. And while we’re on the subject of traditional music, West Coast Review met up with dance band legend Colin Campbell as he turned out recently for one more tune! There’s much more, too, inside this month’s edition, including regular columnists The Kitchen Gardener and Lorn de Jour, while our whisky club drinkers tackle a Benriach 15-year-old.

If you have a story to tell, or would like to make a contribution to West Coast Review, we look forward to hearing from you. Simply contact our offi ce by phone, email, fax or post.
