Leo rules the heart,
encouraging us to come from a place of compassion, with generosity and love directed toward one’s self and others. Children can be central. In its highest application Leo aids us in participating communally, with the understanding and wisdom that rules humanely. Alternately, self-concern leads to melodrama and aggrandizement.
Meanwhile, on July 28, Mars enters Scorpio after its long tenure in Libra since December 2013. In Libra, the sign of relationships, justice, and harmony, Mars was invited to become part of the team, anathema to Mars in general, but doable. The flavor changes as Mars moves into Scorpio through September 14. There is an increasing need to transform emotional intensity and passion to achieve goals and desires. Fortunately, the endurance to face challenges or conflicts in pursuing desires and ambitions is strengthened. July 30 through August 11 is an exceptional period for taking action toward personal objectives. Resist the impulse to overextend or overcommit. Initiative toward improving conditions is accentuated; whatever you do, make it count. If you take the path of least resistance, you will pass up a great opportunity. Take advantage of your creative juices. Otherwise they’ll keep you in a fanciful dream state of what could be!
In the last two weeks of August and up to September 3, there is
cosmic help in structuring visions and ideas, turning them into reality. During this time, patience and perseverance in forging ahead get us to the finish line. As the sun enters Virgo on
August 24, we are likely to witness the revelation of more secrets. Perhaps there will be more disclosure surrounding the duplicitous nature of safety and security, disclosure that can be illuminating and constructive when brought to light. Individually, the less there is to hide, the more secure we can feel. We cannot imagine our secrets are our own ever more.
The next eclipses do not occur until October 8 and 23, in Aries and Scorpio respectively. These events will magnify ongoing themes relevant to power and its use, our ability to play and cooperate with others on a personal and global scale. Transformation and regeneration are themes as the dance between Uranus and Pluto continues throughout 2015, with their last exact square of 2014 coming in December. The tension and uncertainty felt by most people through much of this last year and a half will get stirred up again after several months of the relatively calm “weather” experienced since spring.
People across the globe will continue to revolt. Civil unrest will persist in their hopes of overthrowing current regimes, desperate for positive changes in their lives. This does not entirely exempt the United States
over the next two years. Some of our national issues will manifest in the form of gun control, corporate power, drug manufacturing, and the war over water, certain to come to the foreground, especially in the West.
These concerns are complex, intertwined, and take time to resolve. However, sudden and unimagined solutions can be realized during these times, achieving constructive and sustainable change. New approaches to participation, locally and globally, will aid us in overcoming unfamiliar challenges. From a historical perspective,
challenging periods associated with the squares of Uranus and Pluto, the last one taking place in the 1930s, see societies transformed and entering new eras of economic growth and prosperity. While good news will come eventually, we remain in a period of dynamic transition through the end of the decade. This summer a number of
players will be leading the charge. We will experience both the active energies of Mars and the quiet restraint of Saturn in Scorpio. Our endeavors extend outward with expansive Jupiter in regal Leo. Spiritual Neptune in idealistic Pisces sets the tone where vision and inspiration are concerned. Enthusiastically we can take action on behalf of the whole, and in the process benefit ourselves. Pray. Act. Believe in miracles.
We need a few, but fortunately they happen!
