“MURRAY MANIA“ in Primary 3 at Dunblane Primary School
Children in P3M became newspaper reporters recently when they wrote reports and added their own opinions about Andy Murray’s recent visit to Dunblane. The children were using their report writing skills to describe what happened.
MURRAY COMES TO DUNBLANE Andy Murray came back to Dunblane to get the Freedom of Stirling. All of his family were there too. He was very happy because of his wonderful performance and he was very emotional and everyone was very proud of him. He was very proud of himself too and also very happy because he won Wimbledon and he said he was very honoured. I do not usually play tennis myself but I now want to play more because Andy Murray makes me feel that I can achieve great things too.

When Andy Murray recently came to receive the Freedom of Stirling, his family and his girlfriend Kim came to watch him get his award. He won Wimbledon last year and he won a Gold and a Silver medal at the Olympics in 2012. He came back to Dunblane to get his award. He cried tears of joy because he was the first British man to win Wimbledon in 77 years. Andy Murray makes me feel happy because he wins matches. We are all very proud of him and it makes me want to play tennis.

MURRAY COMES HOME Andy Murray has won lots of championships including Wimbledon, the Olympic Gold and the US Open. When he returned to Dunblane to get his award, his whole family was there and so was his girlfriend Kim Sears. Andy’s first favourite sports when he was a boy were go-karting and football. When he got the special award he cried because he was so happy. Everyone was very proud of Andy Murray. I think he is a nice man with a good sense of humour and he inspires people to play tennis and feel confident.

Recently, Andy Murray came to Dunblane High School to get a special award. He received the Freedom of Stirling which is a great honour. He was the first British man to win Wimbledon in a very long time and he has won several other important competitions. We are all glad he has achieved so much and it makes me want to play better tennis.
