Hello & welcome to the June edition of theWire
At the time of writing this the radio tells me that England is having the hottest weekend of the year/decade and I am looking out at drizzle.... Half of me is pleased as I’m working anyway but the other half is just a tiny bit jealous. I’m hoping though that our turn will come and preferably next weekend so our 21st Fling can be bathed in sunshine. I’ll cross my fi ngers.....
Edinburgh’s Moonwalk, which I had put fi rmly in the category of ‘ages away’, is in fact only a couple of weeks away... eek! Whilst I have been out training, I need to do a couple of long walks to reassure myself that I can in fact power walk 26 miles! So having signed off my print, I will be out on Monday (with the help of a hefty bar of Cadburys) to clock up about 20 miles. Anyone wanting to support this fabulous cause, no amount is too small, and hugely appreciated. Go to: (
