This pharma blister pack is the result of a cross-functional customer/supplier cooperation using Formpack®
with Advanced Blister Design. The achieved
optimised blister design reduces material consumption by 30% and improves moisture protection by 40%. The annual savings are 6.14 million MJ energy, 442,000 kg CO2 and 3.55 million kg water.

The pack is a unique, box shaped blister packaging without any glued flaps. At an outset it looks like a normal folding carton. Yet, when it is opened it provides all features of a blister pack. This innovative package system showcases the first package use of a new thermoform tray material that combines Polyurethane and PETG into one conjoined layer. “Unlock the Drawers”, that is the crux of the 10th Packaging Seminar Invitation Box. A locking mechanism has been built into the box preventing the drawers from sliding out, a novel idea for a paper based product. A palette together with a vibrant flow of colours complement the box design.
