6 Maidstone Borough Council SNAP Discos

The next SNAP disco for young people aged 11 to 16 will take place on 27 June.

It will be held at Maidstone Leisure Centre from 7pm until 10:30pm.

The SNAP (Say No And Phone) discos are held in collaboration with Kent Police and Crimestoppers as part of a say no to drugs campaign. The discos have been running for more than 15 years and have a trusted reputation. Police officers and partner agencies are on hand throughout the events.

At SNAP dance nights, security is a top priority, so you and all your friends can listen to live music and meet new people in a very safe environment.

Tickets cost £5. If you would like more information or if you would like to buy tickets, please contact Maidstone Leisure Centre on 0845 155 22 77.

If you are a parent looking for reassurance and peace of mind before sending your children to their first SNAP event then please contact PC Paul Hughes, Maidstone’s Safer Schools Officer on 01622 604144.

Need help to quit

smoking?

To help you on your way, break down your goal into smaller steps – for example not smoking for a week, or a month - and reward yourself when you achieve one of these. It’s also a good idea to remind yourself of the benefits – both financial and physical – of stopping smoking. Try putting the money you’d normally spend on cigarettes in a jar each week and watch how quickly it adds up!

If you’re trying to give up, we’ve got plenty of information on where to get help on our website at maidstone.gov.uk/stopsmoking.

Programme: A 12 week programme of weekly diet and nutrition seminars, and you can take advantage of the low cost gym, swim and exercise classes for just £1 per visit. Held at Maidstone Leisure Centre, Mote Park.
