Junior Golf

THE HIGH STANDARD OF players, helped and encouraged by the great coaching staff, means that the RLGC junior section keeps going from strength to strength. Throughout the year there are many

competitions and matches for the juniors to take part in. We have a very successful junior team, competing in a league with other local clubs. ALONGSIDE THE INTENSE MATCHES, there was a great sense of friendship felt by everyone involved, including the organisers who did such a fabulous job in making this exchange the experience it was. The start of the

Boys Amateur Championship. Ewen Ferguson won the title after several rounds of stroke play and match play. One of our juniors, Matthew Jordan, managed to qualify for the event and

was of an exceptional standard, even if on more than one occasion, there were a few sore heads on the first tee. Formby Golf Club was an ideal place

After a full day’s play and very tight matches, the scores were incredibly close going into day two. That evening saw everyone go out together and have a great time, however still tired from the flight the Swedish contingent opted for an early night. On both days at Formby we were

blessed with great weather and fantastic food provided by the catering staff and
