FLORIDA FAIR NEWS

Brevard County changing to a “Fall Fair” Mark your calendars…the Brevard County Fair is moving to new

dates! The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Ser- vices has confirmed our change from our previous March Fair calendar. We will be operating from October 23rd to November 2nd beginning in 2014. “The Fair board explored various date ranges,” explained

Melinda (Mel) Morgan-Stowell, Brevard County Fair Manager. “We felt that the October through November dates not only al- lowed for more opportunities to involve our community’s youth, but also offered the more traditional feel of a Fall Fair. We’re really excited by all of the possibilities for new events! We would also like to extend our invitation to community groups, churches, and youth organizations to share their ideas for the activities, fund raisers, and special events in which they would like to participate as we grow and improve our Fair. Please feel free to contact the Brevard County Fair at 321-633-1702 ext. 238 with your ideas and feedback!” We are also pleased to welcome Brian Morrissey and the folks

at Modern Midways to our Fair this year! The Fair has been held for the past five years at Wickham Park

in Melbourne, and we will continue to work with our Parks and Recreation partners at Wickham to bring the community a family- friendly event that showcases the unique qualities of Brevard County.
