What’s On Norwich Teatre Royal

APR

April will see performing cats and dogs at Norwich Teatre Royal. Te month begins with the hit musical Cats taking to the stage from April 2-12, but you’ll have to be quick to grab the last few seats. If you’ve ever asked ‘Scooby Doo, where are you?’ the answer is the Teatre Royal from April 14-16. Te ghost- hunting canine and his friends including Shaggy and Velma will take to the stage in a brand new adventure set in the land of the Pyramids. From brave dogs to Tap Dogs with the hit dance show providing inspiration for the all-action stage spectacular Tap Factory running from April 21-23. It mixes percussion with acrobatics and top dance styles, including urban and tap. Tere all also some top dancers in the all-male cast including former World Tap champion Gilles Guenat and world-renowned dancer Jérémie Champagne, who also starred in the French series of So You Tink You Can Dance? Te month ends with a classic spine-chiller as Dial M For Murder arrives from Apr 29. A cast headed by Christopher Timothy (All Creatures Great and Small) tells the story of a husband who plans to kill off his wife with the perfect murder.

Te Nightingales Norwich Arts Centre

Te Nightingales return. On their own terms. Te band, now 35 years strong, are releasing their new album, ‘For Fuck’s Sake’ on their own label, stronger than ever despite the fuckwittery of old labels relinquishing their services with the band. Te album is being released exclusively on 12” 180g vinyl, and amongst the unapologetic post- punk / rock they’re known for, they take a massive swing at Michael Gove. Which is a winner. See the gig, buy the album, stick it to the man.

Wednesdays & Tursdays

Norwich Cocktail Club Venues in Norwich

APR

Norwich Cocktail Club is a Norwich pop up, celebrating the fine alchemy of cocktail mixing. Having sampled their delights ourselves, we can attest to the elegant flavour pairings concocted by the team, that compile their ever-changing list of weekly treats. Tere’s no Woo Woo or Sex on the Beach here; expect instead a Strawberry and Vanilla Martini, or perhaps a Yorkshire Tea-se. Catch them at Tea and Little Cakes on Tursdays and Wednesdays at Te Wildman.
