Te arm of Record Store Day stretches all the way to Norwich, where three of our independents will be joining the action on April 19th, Soundclash at St. Benedict’s Street, Prelude Records at St. Giles Street and Blossom Records on Bridewell Alley. Here’s what they think about it:
“I’ll just be doing what I did last year – selling the hip-hop, rock and electro exclusives. I remember the queues going all the way down Benedict’s street, so I can only keep my fingers crossed the response will be as big again.” – Paul Mills, Soundclash
“It would be great they’d focus a bit more on classical music instead of only Rock and the more popular genres. Ten again, we’re an independent music store participating in Record Store Day, so that’s what it’s all about. We’ll be doing some extras next to selling the exclusives, but we’re still working on that.” -Andrew Cane, Prelude Records
“Since it is our first ever Record Store Day, we really want to do something special. We’ve decided to involve almost the entire Bridewell alley on the 19th of April. Te Access to Music students will be playing some music in the graveyard opposite the shop from 9am-4pm, while the people of Mustard Café will take orders from the people in the queue. We’re really looking forward to it. After all, it’s our chance to do something for the customers!” – Adi Walder, Blossom Records
