Safety heroes are rewarded

A POLICE woman praised for “going the extra mile to keep Maidstone safe” almost missed picking up her prize after detain- ing a suspect on her way to the awards’ ceremony. PCSO Caroline Honeysett put

duty first as she made her way to the 2014 MaidSafe awards cere- mony at the Wonderland night- club in Barker Road, Maidstone. Therewas still time for her to re-

ceive the Timpson outstanding service award, which she shares with PCSO Neil Lettington. Neil and Caroline (pictured) are a con- stant presence in the town, and, according to a nomination by Marks and Spencer, “are the one team Maidstone cannot do with- out”.
