Exciting News for Paso Fino Breeders and Owners! Recently, several Paso Fino horse breeders, owners
and admirers from across Canada have worked together to form the Canadian Paso Fino Horse Association Inc. Their intention is to provide representation for Canadian breeders of Paso Fino horses, to increase support for Cana- dian Paso Fino horse breeders/owners and young horse development initiatives, and to serve as a resource in pro- moting the interests of the Canadian Paso Fino horse com- munity. The CPFHA will provide an avenue for the voice of
breeders to be heard on issues of equestrian sport, gover- nance and work with other groups and associations to increase support for breeders/owners through education, cooperation and general engagement. The CPFHA will be a membership organization.
Inaugural membership applications are now being accept- ed for the 2014 CPFHA Membership year. The three lev- els of CPFHA membership include: a) Individual/Farm (breeder); b) Associate (non breeder); and c) Affiliated Group (organization/association). Membership offers many benefits including reduced fees for ownership regis- tration and breed registry, and discounts for participation in clinics, shows and other events offered by the CPFHA. The CPFHA also supports equestrian education for
youth, by offering the Paso Fino Equestrian Academy (PFEA) located at Forest Gait Farm in Fergus On. Engag- ing youth in Paso Fino equestrian activities will ensure the

future of the breed in Canada. Dr. Fernando De La Torre DVM, as PFEA Director and coach, will teach PFEA stu- dents the art of riding the Paso Fino horse, with certifica- tion for equestrian levels from beginner to advanced. As a member of Confepaso, the CPFHA will form a talented
Youth Team to repre- sent Canada at inter- nationally at Con- fepaso Youth Mundi- als. This participation will promote friend- ship among youth around the world sharing their passion for riding the Paso Fino horse. For information
