Register Now! Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training Certification Course in Chapel Hill

W

ould you like to teach Kundalini Yoga? Would you like to deepen your own practice and understand- ing of this ancient and sacred form of yoga? Chapel Hill is the home of two very experienced teacher trainers who both studied directly with the master of Kundalini Yoga, Yogi Bhajan. This training will allow you to be a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance at the 200 hour level. More importantly, it will give you the tools to be healthy, happy, and fulfilled in your own life. Kundalini energy is the basic evolutionary force of the human psyche and soul. It helps to clean and make your body beautiful, improves your nervous system, and brings in awareness. In this bliss and realization, you come back to your Self. It is a gradual, beautiful, bal-

anced, and systematic approach. This course will meet one weekend a month from

September, 2014 through June, 2015. Included in the training are anatomy and physiology, postures, sound and mantra, mind and meditation, diet and lifestyle, Humanology, yogic philosophy and history, and teaching special populations. A great perk of this training is that delicious yogi tea, vegan snacks, and catered lunches from Triangle Raw Foods are included in your tuition.

Valarie Williams Brings Lypotherapy to the Triangle L

ypotherapy (also known as Lypossage) is a new massage modality used to shape, tone and contour

the body and to promote good self-image and positive health. We spoke with medical massage practitioner Valarie Williams: Lypossage is non-invasive and healthier alternative to Liposuction. Lypossage clients generally see excellent results, and it can even be used, with a plastic surgeon’s referral, to help with the side effects of Liposuction, in- cluding lymphodema, internal scarring and adhesions. Lypossage will improve Lymph flow, temporarily reduce the look of cellulite, improve skin tone, reduce dimension, and give a lift to sagging areas of the body. It can help facilitate the healing of muscles and joints, improve swollen extremities that are due to Lymphedema and water retention, and improve circulation and muscle tone. Lypossage is done in a series of 18 sessions per

zone. There are three zones: Zone One includes legs, buttocks and abdomen; Zone Two includes the torso, arms and chest; and Zone Three is also known as a face- lift massage. For the best results, clients should complete all sessions. Lypossage is done by a trained professional and is more cost effective than Liposuction. While results vary from person to person, better results can be achieved by drinking plenty of water and following a strict at- home regimen to maintain overall appearance. A whole food supplement called Essentials is available through Mashea’s Wellness Center to aid in the removal of toxins and assist with weight loss.
