Page 22 Why not try the ‘One Stroke’ painting technique.


This is the American technique of decorative art and is unlike any traditional oils or watercolours, and is great way for beginners to start. Eileen Wallace is the only ‘One Stroke’ certified instructor on the Costa Blanca and her classes are fun and informal and a good way to make new friends.


This is a lovely way to paint and can be applied to almost any surface. It can be used on wood, glass, tiles, fabric, plastic, candles and cards and of course canvas, the possibilities are endless. It is also a great way to make your own personal cards or gifts for your friends, what could be nicer than a handmade gift especially from you.


The classes are a maximum of 6 people to a class. They are held in Eileen’s home studio in Ciudad Quesada on Friday mornings from 10am to 12 noon, Friday afternoons from 2pm to 4pm and Saturday mornings from 11am to 1pm.


Unlike other painting techniques there is no drawing or painting skills needed making this is a much easier way to learn to paint. If you are interested, Eileen is offering for the month of April only, a trial lesson for only 10 Euros, you do not need to bring anything with you as everything for the lesson is supplied and any projects painted are yours to keep, places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.


If you are a member of a local club, Eileen is also available for demonstrations by appointment.
