Programme of Events Norwich Teatre Royal

MAR

Remember the Fonz, Richie Cunningham and Arnold’s Diner? ‘Happy Days’ gets a new lease of life on stage, as it arrives at Norwich Teatre Royal from March 10- 15. All the favourite characters are back and brought back to life by an all-star cast, including Sugababe Heidi Range, stage-favourite Cheryl Baker, and former Emmerdale hunk Ben Freeman as Te Fonz. Now Sochi’s over, if you want more high-octane skating action, do not miss ‘Ice’ from March 19-23. Created by former Dancing On Ice judge Robin Cousins, it features some of the globe’s top skaters in a stunning show set to remixed classics and some new music. Meanwhile, if you like Shakespeare without any doublet or hose in sight, the all- male company Propeller presents the Bard’s plays with a twist on March 25-29. Teir 2014 offerings will be two favourites – A Midsummer Night’s Dream which has enchanted audiences with its story of romantic chaos and Te Comedy of Errors which tells the story of two twin brothers separated at birth. If you fancy a night of illusion, don’t miss Jamie Allan’s show iMagician on March 5. He has worked with a host of top names from the world of magic including creating illusions for the Norwich Teatre Royal panto.

Don’t. Ever. Trow. Your. Clothes. Away. Point made? From your droopy duds to your tired tea towels, there’s a much better use for your old textiles, which Norfolk County Council will be shedding light on from this March onwards. Over half of the country’s textiles end up as landfill, but bydropping them at recycling centres, you can grant your clothes a second life as padding for sofas or just leave them to be recycled.
