As we start 2014, it is about time we look back at what has happened in the music industry. Great names have come back this year; we had surprising collaboration and new artists releasing their singles with the promise to become superstars. This is why I thought to present you some new artists I think they are going to be big in 2014.
Lucy Spraggan is an English singer who was gradually becoming famous while being a contestant at The X Factor. Although she was amongst the favourites, she was forced to leave the competition prematurely, due to health problems. But, her career did not end there. She subsequently signed to Columbia Records and prepared to release her debut album. Join the Club was released at the beginning of October and reached to number 7 in the official UK chart. Her first single was also
well received and brought Lucy invitations to sing at several summer festivals.
We all know that Macklemore is some kind of rap icon now but, have you paid attention to those amazing singers who helped him producing his worldwide hits? One of them is Mary Lambert, open lesbian, who co- wrote “Same Love”, song that became the gay anthem of the year. Mary released her own version of the above song titled “She Keeps Me Warm”, in which she tells the love story between two girls. With all these favourable events happening in her career, I think we should keep an eye out for Mary Lambert next year.
