BJP MARTS reports: The weekly dairy sale included the dispersal of the Willmary herd, from Walters, Maesyward, Cowbridge. Avery impressive herd of cows turned heads and drew positive comments from all who saw. The classifications and the milk records showed promise in the recently-regsitered herd and the cows did not disappoint. The first heifer in was one of many Matson daughters, freshly calved and giving 29kg of milk. She sold for £1,750 and set afast pace for the whole of the sale. Top price of the day, also by Matson, was Willmary Matson Angharad VG88 sold for £2,250. Ten cows in all made £2,000 or more and the whole dispersal averaged avery respectful £1,630.
