The event started off with registration where each attendee was greeted with a complimentary copy of the QS Top Grad School Guide, which is really an invaluable tool to help you choose the best university to meet your career ambitions. Registration was followed by Pre- Fair seminars about application procedures and scholarships applications featuring guest speakers from University College London, Imperial College London and University of Melbourne. There was also an option of attending Study Abroad seminars offering an overview of the broad spectrum of Master’s & PhD programs available globally; this provided an introduction into studying in USA, China, Scandinavia, Europe and Australia.

The fair opened its doors after the pre-fair seminars ended. The room was filled with stalls with a wide-range of exhibitors who were all eager to talk to you. Universities, business schools, small private colleges

and language schools fighting for your attention, wanting to promote their postgraduate course to you. The overwhelming number of exhibitors included institutions from the UK as well as from around the world, including: Hawaii Pacific University, George Washington University, Imperial College London, King’s College London, HEC school of management – Paris, Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona, University of Melbourne, City University of Hong Kong, University of Utrecht, BI Norwegian Business School, National University of Singapore - Graduate School for Integrative Sciences and Engineering and many more!

Postgraduate fairs such as this one are a popular way of finding courses for your postgraduate education, especially when considering studying abroad. Similar to attending an open day, this postgraduate fair was a great way to get a bit more information about specific courses and

degrees and make sure you will be applying for the right one. This international postgraduate fair was an excellent forum for you to talk to representatives from institutions from all over the world. You can talk to them face-to-face and gather information about the courses that interest you as well as discussing opportunities for students. You were able to pick up programme guides to take away with you so you can learn more about the institutions and courses. This fair was also a great place to chat to other students who may be interested in similar courses. By chatting to your peers, you may find out information about certain institutions from a students perspective.

Overall it is safe to say that this event and events like this are extremely beneficial to anyone considering postgraduate study within the UK or abroad. Whatever stage you are at with your career thinking, a visit to the Postgraduate Study Fair will clarify your options and help you plan your next step.
