aspects of field sports provision on site. Work began in early June on the second artificial pitch, being laid alongside the first, and was completed in time for this new academic year and the start of a packed schedule of rugby, football and lacrosse fixtures. Rugby is one of Durham’s biggest sports, with significant investment to the sports facilities in recent years, allowing play to increase across the board.
