From the experience of the THOR 250, Polini presents now the avant- garde THOR 250 DUAL SPARK. Polini THOR 250 DUAL SPARK en- gine is provided with two spark plugs and two independent ignitions to ensure maximum security features in each flight condition. Liquid cooling system grants an extraordinary constancy of perfor- mance and more power at every RPM. Polini THOR 250 DUAL SPARK engine has many more advanced solutions, including:
- The cylinder is die-cast in light alloy, it ensures a better thermal stability.
- The piston, gravity cast at high silicon content light alloy, reduces thermal expansion and the coupling slack. The design of the piston top is specific to optimize the compression ratio. - It is provided with a balancing countershaft; this feature cancels the vibrations and guarantees such a driving comfort never felt during a flight and a longer life for the engine itself. The counter-rotating rol- lers decrease greatly the upsetting torque-steer for an extra comfort in flight.
- The centrifugal clutch is in oil bath with helicoid mechanical re- duction.
- The electric starting is standard but to offer the maximum safety the engine is also equipped with manual starter with easy system thanks to the flash starter device that speeds up and simplifies the movements.
- It is equipped with the comfortable closed-circuit system for the re- covery of fuel during transportation and the 12 V output for any use. Small and compact THOR 250 DUAL SPARK engine has an extraor- dinary power to weight ratio. Advanced technology and high performance of the new THOR 250 DUAL SPARK allow a better feeling of driving performance, making the flight more dynamic, responsive and sensitive, besides ensuring even greater stability.

Dall’esperienza del progetto del paramotore THOR 250, la Polini presenta ora l’avanzatissimo THOR 250 DUAL SPARK. Il motore Polini THOR 250 DUAL SPARK si distingue per essere provvisto di due candele e due accensioni indipendenti per garantire massime caratteristiche di sicurezza in ogni condizione di volo. Il raffredda- mento a liquido, assicura una straordinaria costanza di rendimento e maggiori prestazionalità a ogni regime di rotazione. Il motore Polini THOR 250 DUAL SPARK ha molte altre soluzioni avanzate, tra cui:
- Cilindro fuso in lega leggera di alluminio che assicura una mag- giore stabilità termica.
- Pistone fuso per gravità in lega leggera, ciò consente di contenere le dilatazioni termiche, riducendo il gioco di accoppiamento. Il di- segno del cielo del pistone è specifico per ottimizzare il rapporto di compressione.
- Provvisto di contralbero di bilanciamento; caratteristica che annulla le vibrazioni garantendo un confort di guida mai provato in volo e una maggiore durata al motore stesso. Le masse controrotanti dimi- nuiscono notevolmente la fastidiosa coppia di rovesciamento per un ulteriore confort in volo.
- La frizione centrifuga è in bagno d’olio con riduzione meccanica a denti elicoidali. - L’avviamento elettrico è di serie ma per sicurezza il motore è dotato anche di avviamento manuale con sistema facilitato grazie al dispo- sitivo flash starter che velocizza e semplifica i movimenti. - Il comodo sistema a circuito chiuso per il recupero del carburante durante il trasporto e la predisposizione uscita 12 V per eventuali utilizzi elettrici.
Dotato di dimensioni ridotte e particolarmente compatte, il THOR 250 DUAL SPARK ha uno straordinario rapporto peso potenza.
