Editor's Letter H Staff ERE WE GO!! “They” say that change never hurt anyone
and I can say that is true, that it is indeed a fact and I actually believe that it is an under- statement in a lot of ways. With a few adjust- ments of our own, it is amazingly easy it is to brighten our day or the life of the animals we play with. Take a few moments and reflect on what a wonderful world of horse we are a part of, it’s pretty amazing!! Another show season is in full swing and
the year so far has been great. It’s a pretty unique sport we have chosen for our lives and a wonderful way to enjoy animals. These horses never cease to amaze me and I fall more in love with them each day as do all of you. The economy seems to be headed back on a more even keel and that certainly has
an effect on the number of exhibitors and show entries. Shows are up and people are traveling to further parts of the world again and taking their horses with them for fun and competition at some exceptional venues. As fall winds along, the holidays approach and the year starts to wind down, a
lot of the focus turns to Year End Awards for the various organizations and clubs. While these programs are fun and entertaining and certainly exciting to win, it is not clear the cost it takes on our horses. YES, we take exceptional care of them and tend to their every need and feed them
the best food available. Yes, we send them off in the best vans with the best hauling companies around and, yes we fly them on expensive airlines at expensive costs. They are extremely well cared for at any ones description and they love it. They are jumping higher, running faster, going to WAY more shows than ever
before, taking more medication that is ever changing, traveling more miles and certainly jumping more jumps on more days than ever before. We are fortunate to have them and they are fortunate to have “us”. Enjoy them
and don’t ever let a day pass that they don’t get carrots and lots of pets from the people who care for them. They are our chosen main “equipment” we have for this sport…we are LUCKY!!!
