BAND MEMBERS George Musgrave aka Context

SOUNDS LIKE Te Streets, Burial, Mobb Deep

INFLUENCES Drake, Mobb Deep, Giggs, Te Streets, Caravaggio and Norwich.

BIOG Starting out by battling in some local clubs in Norwich, Context has received a lot of airplay on Radio 1 and 1Xtra since the release of his debut EP ‘Dialectics’, made from inside his bedroom in 2008.

Five years on and it’s been a rapid rise to popularity for the local MC who has received support from Te Independent, SBTV, MTV, Boxfresh and Te MOBO Awards for previous singles; ‘Listening To Burial’, ‘1.4 at 12’, as well as his remixes. He was also the first unsigned artist ever to get a place on MTV’s Brand New list in 2012, beating thousands of other applicants and joining the ranks of Lady Gaga, Tinie Tempah and Wretch 32 as previous nominees.

Now, Context comes fully into the limelight with his first release on EMI/Sony called ‘Small Town Lad Sentiments’ with a video to accompanyit, shot in and around Norwich. A remix by Te Streets’ former front man Mike Skinner has just been released and a debut album is surely in the works. Big things are destined to come from this talented rapper.
