from outside the area in excep- tional circumstances. The deci- sion was made by KCC’s environment, highways and waste cabinet committee. The Coldharbour site, near Allington and Aylesford, will soon have 18 new pitches, which are likely to be filled by local families on a waiting list.


Loft conversion PLANS for a single-storey rear extension and loft conversion at 2 Sassoon Close, Larkfield, have been submitted to Ton- bridge andMalling Council.

Council picks up safety award


TONBRIDGE and Malling Council has received a na- tional award for its approach to occupational health and safety. The Royal Society for the Pre- vention of Accidents (RoSPA) gold awardwas presented to the council’s health and safety offi- cer Bill Parkinson, at a cere- mony in Birmingham alongside Safety and Health Expo 2013, Europe’s leading exhibition on the issue.
