The Early Bird at Grove Green is now under new ownership and offers classic pub food as well as a selection of delicious sandwiches and baguettes. Homemade burgers is the pubs speciality and definitely worth a try. Why not pop along to one of its newly introduced live music nights on selected Saturdays? The Chequers Fish Bar in Lenham is a family-run business that prides itself on using only the best quality ingredients - fish from Grimsby Fish Market and potatoes sourced from local suppliers. All the food is freshly fried in pure vegetable oil. On Fridays the fish bar now serves salmon, which is available grilled


or fried along with all the usual favourites.


The White Horse at Sandway is a traditional public house found near rural Lenham. The pub serves a variety of specialist dishes prepared using Kentish produce. The pub will be holding a beer festival over the August Bank Holiday weekend (23rd – 26th August). There will be live music throughout the weekend, a BBQ and a great variety of real ales and ciders on offer.


The Sugar Loaves is found in the picturesque village of Hollingbourne. This family-run traditional pub specialises in home cooked classic pub food. The senior citizens midweek two- course lunch offers excellent value for money at £7.50 per person. The fish and chip supper is proving very popular and is available every evening to eat in or take away.
