Renewal of Vows


These ceremonies offer an opportunity for any married couple or partners, of any age or length of time together, to celebrate renewing their vows in a unique and per- sonal ceremony.


You may wish to mark a special anniversary, celebrate with friends or family after a marriage or civil partner- ship overseas or simply wish to celebrate a renewed commitment to each other by reaffirming your views in a personal ceremony chosen by yourselves.


Any couple who are legally married or partners can ar- range for a Renewal of Vows Ceremony. Special people in your lives can take part in the ceremony, which will be conducted by a trained and experienced ‘Celebrant’. The ceremony will have no legal effect and is not le- gally binding on those who participate in it.


There are a number of venues available for your cer- emony, either the Register Office, approved premises such as Hotels or even in the open air. A complete list of venues is available at the back of this brochure.


We can also perform these ceremonies at other venues and even in a marquee in your own garden, subject to our approval.


We are happy to conduct the ceremony any day of the week at a mutually convenient time.


It is the responsibility of the couple to arrange the time and date of their ceremony with the venue of their choice. A fee may be charged by the venue for the use of the room in which the ceremony is to take place. This fee will be in addition to the fee.


The renewal ceremony can be a small intimate affair or you may wish to invite family and friends. Children of the marriage can also play a special part and you may wish to consider including them on this important occasion. At the conclusion of the ceremony, you will be asked to sign a record of the ceremony along with two witnesses and a Commemorative Certificate will be presented to you as a keepsake.
