Royal Bank of Scotland appoints three new directors to its Solent office


Royal Bank of Scotland Corporate & Institutional Banking has further strengthened its Solent team with the appointment of three new directors to support the already 20-strong corporate banking team, which includes product specialists in structured, asset, invoice and trade finance


Scott Taylor and Mikael Rosen join as relationship directors, and Jeremy Richards joins as head of business development. They will report to Dan Salanson, head of Corporate and Institutional Banking, Solent region, and head of business development, south region.


Taylor has 16 years‘ experience within banking and corporate finance advisory. He is returning to RBS from Hall Morrice Chartered Accountants, an independent firm in north east Scotland where he was director of the practice‘s corporate finance and business advisory division. Having worked across multiple sectors, he was also vice president of the Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce. Taylor previously worked with the RBS Commercial Banking team in Aberdeen and has spent time with Clydesdale Bank and other independent advisory firms.


Rosen has over 10 years‘ experience within banking and finance across a variety of sectors. He moves to RBS Corporate &

Institutional Banking from Lombard Corporate Asset Finance where he was responsible for developing new business relationships among corporate businesses. Prior to this he was a successful business development manager at Lloyds TSB Commercial.


Richards joins internally from RBS‘s south technology team where, as business development director, he was very successful in winning new business in the technology sector. Richards has over 14 years of banking and corporate finance origination experience, having previously worked for the Solent teams at HSBC, Tenon and Grant Thornton.
