Special Presentation at TGI Featuring Caroline Myss

aroline Myss, one of the world’s leading voices in spirituality, health, human consciousness, energy healing, and medical intuition, will offer a special lecture to students in The Graduate Institute’s Master of Arts in Integrative Health and Healing this spring – a program that explores mind-body approaches to health and wellness.


As part of her teaching engagement, Myss will also offer a rare public presentation on Friday, May 31 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, with a limited number of tickets open to the general public. The event is sponsored by The Graduate Institute and held at Yale University, Sheffield Sterling Strathcona Hall (SSS), Room 114 on Prospect Street in New Haven. This presentation will provide a thoughtful exploration of health, wellness, spirituality, current events, relationships, and the environment through the lens of Myss’ body of work in medical intuition, healing, archetypes and mystical wisdom. Expand Consciousness and Learn a Transformational Healing Modality in a New Master’s Degree Program

asters in Pastoral Counseling Offered by the Hartford Family Institute in affiliation with the Graduate Theological Founda-


tion Program starts September, 2013 The Hartford Family Institute is the first east-coast location to partner with the Graduate Theological Foundation to offer a Mas- ter’s Degree is Pastoral Counseling (MPC) with concentrations in Integrative Healing or Somatic Expressive Movement Therapy. No religious belief or affiliation is necessary to be part of the program. The program targets students with a Bachelor’s degree who want to study and expand their skills in the art of healing – such as Nurses, Massage Therapists, Yoga Teachers, Personal Trainers, Movement Therapists, Energy Healers or others who want to become healers. During the two-year program, students will develop a strong foundation in healing skills and find their own unique connection to embodied spirituality while integrating theory, skill, self-awareness and integrity. With a deep commitment to their own growth, gradu- ate practitioners will be able to provide an energetic invitation for clients to develop a foundation that supports the path to well-being. The curriculum is psycho/spiritual in nature, based on the theo- ries of In-Depth Body Psychotherapy and Subtle Energy Healing. Each year the program consists of an opening weekend, 27 Wednes- day evenings, five weekend workshops and a five-day residential workshop. Re:Create CT: An Up-Cycle & Green Living Event in Elizabeth Park T


he CT Holistic Chamber of Commerce presents Re:Create CT; an up-cycle, and green living event that will take place on Saturday, May 4th, from 10am-4pm in Elizabeth Park, West Hartford. It will be the destination event of the year for like-minded people, both business and consumers whose commitment and pur- pose is to foster a healthier community. Free to the public. Re:Create CT will have three distinct elements, all tied together


by the “green” theme. An artisan marketplace will provide a fun and unique shopping experience with artists who specialize in up- cycling, re-purposing, and using eco-friendly materials. Re:Create will feature a number of Farmers’ Market type vendors and specialty food producers from around the Hartford County; as well as info on where and when the popular Markets are open so you can have access to fresh and local food for your family. There will also be nutritionists and experts on site talking about solutions and sampling recipes for food allergies and dietary preferences. Meet healers, practitioners, therapists, instructors, and experts; all on site to guide you to a healthier, happier you. There will also be live music, inter- active yoga and Zumba classes, children’s activities, and fresh eats from local food trucks.
